Dr. Gene Kelly

Medical Director – Longview

“Hospitality ER allows me to spend time with my patients; providing them with quality medical care without the constraints of a hospital emergency department.”

Dr. Gene Kelly was born and raised in Chicago. He attended medical school at the University of Texas Health Science Center-San Antonio, and then returned to Chicago for residency experience at one of the first emergency department residency programs in the nation. Dr. Kelly has lived and practiced medicine in Longview, Texas since 2001 with his wife of 30+ years, two sons and one daughter.

He is an avid runner and cyclist, recently competing in several well-known events including the Boston Marathon, the Spartan World Championships, the World’s Toughest Mudder, multiple Ironman World Championships in Hawaii as well as the half Ironman World championships in South Africa and France.

Dr Kelly applies a unique approach of nutritional intervention, holistic practices, and integrative medicine to his daily emergency medicine practice. This approach allowed for what, at the time, were novel, aggressive, and advanced treatments for patients with COVID-19 whilst most medical practices were closing their doors to these same patients.
