Dr. Harvey Castro

Dr. Harvey Castro works at Hospitality ER in Longview & Tyler, and is certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine. Originally from New York City, he moved to Texas and was stationed at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio while serving in the US Army. He graduated from Texas A&M with a double major in Biomedical Science and Political Science (B.A & B.S). He then attended the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas and followed with his residency in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Dr. Castro has continued his serve while in the medical industry. He’s been a national guest speaker for the American College of Emergency Physicians at the Scientific Assembly, and has completed three phases of ACEPS Emergency Department of Directors Academy. He is also a consultant for health care software companies and is a medical app developer. With his extensive experience he has been one of the medical correspondents for local tv stations (Telemundo, Univision and NBC news). Among his accolades, Dr. Castro has been honored as D Magazine Doctor of the year in Dallas 2014, 2015, and 2016.
